(ContentDesk) July 24, 2006 -- Women In Transition joins Marys House of Hope in receiving coveted Fourniér Center for Empowerment Award. This award entitles the Executive Director and Founder of Women In Transition, Inc., Lindi Marti a free membership into the Centers Empowerment Support Network and a scholarship to receive their Course of Action, created by the Centers founder, Mark Fourniér. Additional scholarships have been set aside for Lindi's staff, volunteers and clients, pending a standard review process. Women In Transition was nominated for the award by Indiana resident Diana LeBrun, an Arbonne District Manager who is also a participant in the Course of Action. The team leader who will be guiding her through the Course of Action is Mary Caris of Michigan, a committed volunteer for the Center for Empowerment.The primary purpose of the award is to:- Go far beyond traditional treatment for the clients of non-profit organizations (such as Women In Transition), offering a lifetime of empowering principles and support to abused women and children, homeless families and others who might significantly benefit from greater levels of self-worth, a better understanding of human nature and an ongoing empowerment support network.- Empower the staff & volunteers of non-profit organizations (such as Women In Transition) so they will be able to operate more effectively within the organization as well as in their personal lives.

- Function as an additional benefit & incentive to the staff and volunteers of the organization in order to increase 'volunteer enrollment and retention.'- Awards are given out to deserving non-profit organizations based upon their application, profile and willingness to play full-out in the curriculum. The Fourniér Center for Empowerment is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to empowering others to lead happy, fulfilling and productive lives regardless of thier challenges and circumstances; they raise funds through donations and by selling their courses and memberships to for-profit companies and individuals.
