New Delhi, India (ContentDesk) July 20, 2005 -- Major General Albert N. Stubblebine III, (US Army, Ret.), President of the Natural Solutions Foundation announced today that Prof. Dr. S. Viswanathan has been confirmed as the Director of the Foundation's activities for the Indian state of Pondicherry.

The Natural Solutions Foundation - India is rapidly expanding its activities under the dynamic leadership of Prof. Dr. B. M. Hegde, a long time champion of natural health and drug free options.

Thie goals of the Natural Solutions Foundation are to promote and protect natural health and the freedom to choose natural options for health. Consumers rights in these vital area are being globally threatened by Codex Alimentarius, a food standard setting body which frequenlty sets those standards so that multinational corporate interests, not consumers and their rights, are served. India is uniquely placed to provide protection for her consumers and world leadership in the importance of protecting natural health options because of her ancient and modern use of natural health options through Ayurvedic Medicine, Naturopathy and Yogic health practices which stess pure foods and herbs as the foundation for medical practice.Rima E. Laibow, MD, Medical Director of the Natural Solutions Foundation is particularly enthusiastic about Dr. Viswanathan joining the leadership team of the foundation since his view and drug free professional activities parallel her own.

Rejecting much of the conventional approach to illness, Dr. Viswanathn has brought self-regulation and self-realization into the medical community in a unique and effective way throughout India. His approach and methods, which have received international recogntion, fit perfectly with the aims and activities of the Natural Solutions Foundation, both globally and in India and his participation in the health and health freedom activities of the Foundation are anticipated to widen its recognition and impact in India. In collaboration with Prof. B.M.

Hegde, an all-India meeting is in development which will focus on the dangers facing India's ancient tradition of health through awareness, nutrition and herbs embodied in the Ayurvedic tradition which treats the underlying causes of disease and therefore stands in stark contrast to pharmaceutical medicine which supresses symptoms. Thus, access to clean, unadulterated food and natural healing modalities, so central to the Indian health traditions, are prefectly aligned with the Natural Solutions Foundation's dedication to health and health freedom. Yoga's contribution to health is through the integration of consiousness and intentionality with these principles. Dr. Viswanathan's education, experience and passions make him an ideal partner in the pro-health struggle in India and beyond.Prof.
