(ContentDesk) July 18, 2006 -- The Walsh family of Farmingdale, along with Q104.3 FM, will be hosting Toast to a cure for Lupus, an event which will be held at Katie Dalys in Massapequa on September 26, 2006 from 7-11pm. The Walsh family has been very involved with the fight against lupus, ever since two family members were diagnosed with the disease. Maggie was diagnosed over 3 years ago and has since suffered neurological, kidney and joint damage. Her father, Robert, lost his 10 year battle with the disease in July of 2005. The event promises to be a fun filled evening and will feature live entertainment by the Electric Dudes with a very special performance by Zebras Randy Jackson.

There will be a $5.00 all-you-can-eat buffet, as well as a Chinese auction, with prizes furnished by the NY Jets, Tiffany & Co., Oheka Castle, Dave & Busters and more. We will also be featuring jewelry by jewelry designer Theresa Gray of Treasures & Jewels. These designs are exclusive to the Lupus Alliance. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Lupus Alliance. To view the designs to be featured at the Toast Gala visit www.treasurseandjewels.com or contact Theresa Gray at (714) 273-1305. The Walshs are holding this event to help raise money for The Lupus Alliance of Americas Walk Along for Lupus.

This year the 13th Annual Walk Along for Lupus will be held on October 15th, 2006 in Eisenhower Park. The Walsh family hopes that the Toast to a cure for Lupus event will help them raise even more money for the Walk then ever before. All over 21 are welcome to attend this great fundraising event. Get together with some friends and come on down to Katie Dalys of Massapequa on September 26th, have a great time, eat, drink, dance and help find a cure for lupus. For details or questions please call 516-694-9491.Contact: Maggie Walsh(516) 694-9491.
